The composition is well-written, the conductor is fabulous and the soloist is phenomenal. My first concert (Sept 22) included Dvorak's <em>New World Symphony </em>. Countless solos keep the piece more than exciting and the orchestra was phenomenal! Alongside the flute, violin, harpsichord trio were performances by a brass quintet, marimba ensemble, organ soloist and electronic music version - ALL at the same time in acoustically diverse spaces in First Central Church's 150-year old building. Unfortunately I didn't hear the other versions of the <em>Musical Offering</em>, but I had a fabulous time nonetheless performing the trio version with symphony members Chris Hake, violin and Marilyn Kielniartz, harpsichord.
